Research Experience
Currently an Assistant Professor at Leiden Institute of Advanced Computer Science (LIACS), Leiden University. Previously, a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Dirk Hovy's MilaNLP lab at Bocconi University. Co-organized several workshops and shared tasks, including The 9th Workshop on Online Abuse and Harms at ACL 2025 and the First Workshop on Integrating NLP and Psychology to Study Social Interactions at ICWSM 2025.
Education
Obtained Ph.D. (summa cum laude) from SINAI lab at the University of Jaén (Spain) in January 2023, making significant contributions to hate speech detection and emotion identification, particularly in Spanish.
Background
Main research interests focus on the interplay between language, computation, and society, primarily through the lens of emotions and harmful language. Passionate about using NLP for social good.
