Academic Achievements
  • Published numerous papers, contributed to open-source educational tools, taught NLP and AI at undergraduate and graduate levels, and served on executive, program, and ethics committees for top NLP conferences.
Research Experience
  • Currently leads the AI Team at Fundación Vía Libre, an NGO that has been defending digital rights in Latin America for over 25 years. Also an associate professor at the Universidad Nacional de Córdoba. Co-designing research across Latin America with educators, students, and local communities to assess the societal impacts of large language models. Held fellowships at the Stanford Center for the Study of Language and Information, Universita di Trento, and the University of Southern California.
Education
  • Earned an undergraduate degree in Computer Science from Universidad Nacional del Comahue; completed a Masters at the University of Bolzano; and a PhD at INRIA Nancy Grand Est, focusing on multimodal AI agents and natural language processing.
Background
  • Born and raised in Argentina. Research interests include multimodal AI agents and natural language processing, particularly how embodied agents interpret instructions through language, perception, and action. Current work lies at the intersection of natural language processing, human-computer interaction, and AI ethics, with a focus on responsible AI, multicultural NLP, and participatory methods.
