- Co-recipient of the 2018 Lagrange prize with Francis Bach and Mark Schmidt; recipient of a CIFAR AI chair. Co-authored papers presented at ICLR 2017, NeurIPS 2020, AISTATS 2022 (best paper runner-up), ICML 2023, and NeurIPS 2023.

Background
- Expertise in machine learning, neural networks, optimization, large-scale learning, and statistical modeling. Current interests include understanding optimization in supervised and reinforcement learning from the perspective of functions (or policies) rather than parameters; also interested in model adaptation and decentralization of power.
