Author/editor of multiple books; served as Editor-in-Chief or Area Editor for several IEEE journals; elected as an IEEE Fellow in 2015 for contributions to spectrum management and resource allocation in cognitive and cellular radio networks; elected as a Member of the College of New Scholars, Artists and Scientists of the Royal Society of Canada in 2016; listed as a Clarivate Analytics Highly Cited Researcher in Computer Science since 2017.
Research Experience
Since March 2010, he has been a Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Manitoba. Currently, he serves as an Editor for IEEE Transactions on Mobile Computing.
Education
Received his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Victoria, Canada, in 2001. He was a University of Victoria Fellow and also a recipient of the British Columbia Advanced Systems Institute (ASI) graduate student award.
