Academic Achievements
  • Participated in European projects such as Control and Computation (CC) within the HYCON network and Italian national interest research projects: Models for optimization, control, and coordination of distributed production systems and Analysis and Control of Hybrid Systems PRIN.
Research Experience
  • Since September 2011, with Mitsubishi Electric Research Laboratories as Team Leader for Optimization-based Control and Senior Principal Member of the Research Staff focusing on advanced control systems for robotics, factory automation, space systems, and automotive components. From April 2008 to September 2011, worked at Ford Motor Company's Powertrain Control R&A investigating advanced control strategies for powertrain, vehicle dynamics, energy management, and supply chain.
Education
  • Obtained a MSc in Computer Engineering (EE) from the University of Siena in 2004; PhD in Information Engineering from the same university in 2008, under the supervision of Prof. A. Bemporad.

Murray, also worked on Caltech's entry in the 2007 DARPA Urban Challenge.
