Research Experience
Currently advising multiple Ph.D. students in systems security research. Serves as Vice President of the USENIX Association Board of Directors (starting July 2024), Secretary of the USENIX Association Board of Directors (2022-2024), Steering Committee member for the USENIX Security Symposium (2019-present), and Program Co-Chair for the IEEE Symposium on Security and Privacy (2024 and 2025).

Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering from Pennsylvania State University in 2011; M.S. in Computer Science and Engineering from Pennsylvania State University in 2006; B.S. in Computer Engineering from Pennsylvania State University in 2004.
Background
The Goodnight Distinguished Professor in Security Sciences in the Department of Computer Science at NC State University, co-director of the Secure Computing Institute, director of the Wolfpack Security and Privacy Research (WSPR) laboratory, and a member of the Secure Software Supply Chain Center (S3C2). His research studies the security of a wide range of systems, including the software supply chain, 5G and cloud infrastructure, mobile platforms, Internet of Things (IoT), and networks.
