Received his Ph.D. degree (cum laude) from the Delft University of Technology in 1996. Joined the Laboratory of Telecommunication and Remote Sensing Technology of the Department of Electrical Engineering, Delft University of Technology in 1988. Appointed as an assistant professor at the Delft University of Technology in 1996, then became an associate professor and full professor, responsible for the Microwave Components Group and the Electronics Research Laboratory.
