Resume (English only)
Academic Achievements
  • Multiple papers accepted in top conferences and journals including IEEE JSTSP, NIPS, CVPR, ICLR. Received NVIDIA Academic Grant Program Award. Selected as CVPR 2025's Outstanding Reviewer. One IJCB paper received the Best Biometrics Student Paper Award.
Research Experience
  • Currently an Assistant Research Professor at Johns Hopkins University, affiliated with the Data Science and AI (DSAI). Worked in a start-up for a couple of years before returning to academia. Serving as Guest Editor for a special issue in IJCV, organized a workshop in WACV 2025, and a tutorial in MICCAI 2021.
Education
  • BS/MS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Maryland, College Park; PhD at Johns Hopkins University with Prof. Rama Chellappa.
Background
  • Research Interests: Computer Vision and its various applications, particularly in 3D/4D. Past work focuses on high quality, high resolution 3D reconstruction from signals in the visible spectrum (Neural Radiance Field, 3D Gaussian Splatting, etc.) and the invisible spectrum (CT, MRI, etc.). Also worked on image analysis, e.g., segmentation, detection, re-ID, etc., for human identification and on medical images.
Miscellany
  • Enjoys a good combination of novel scientific progress and grounded, practical engineering. Spends a lot of thoughts on how vision algorithms can be implemented and productively applied in the real world.
