Research Experience
Affiliated with the Urban Transport Systems Laboratory (LUTS) at EPFL
Research focuses on three complementary directions: modeling, monitoring, and control of urban transport systems
Develops observation-based macroscopic models to replace fragile traditional forecasting approaches
Investigates the Macroscopic Fundamental Diagram (MFD) for urban mobility management, including pricing, space allocation, and perimeter control
Works on reliable arterial congestion monitoring to generate high-quality traffic data (e.g., flow, density, trajectories)
Maintains strong collaborations with EPFL, Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC), University of Minnesota, and others
