Developed multiple open-source tools and platforms:
- Nanopub RS: A cross-platform Rust toolkit for signing and publishing RDF Nanopublications, with Python and JavaScript (WebAssembly) bindings.
- RDFLib endpoint: A Python library to deploy SPARQL endpoints from RDFLib Graphs, exposing ML models or custom logic via SPARQL functions.
- Shapes of You: A web service indexing OWL ontologies and SHACL shapes from public Git repos and generating metadata for active SPARQL endpoints.
- FAIR enough: An ecosystem (Python + web service) to define, publish, and execute extensible FAIR principle compliance evaluations.
- Knowledge Collaboratory: An ecosystem for publishing and retrieving scientific claims as Nanopublications using Translator standards (BioLink model, Reasoner API).
Maintains academic profiles on Google Scholar, HAL, and dblp.
Research Experience
Developed the Data Science Research Infrastructure, an OpenShift/Kubernetes cluster for academic researchers to deploy JupyterHub, RStudio, and VS Code workspaces.
Built Data2Services, a framework to generate services from structured data using semantically meaningful models.
Constructed an RDF knowledge graph integrating biomedical and clinical data sources.
Contributed to the NIH NCATS Translator project’s Knowledge Graph Standardization effort.
Advanced the BioLink model.
Worked on the Bio2RDF project at Quebec University, where he first recognized data access challenges in research and healthcare.
