Research Experience
- Currently Senior Director of Research at Dataminr, leading R&D for an AI platform for real-time event and risk detection, involving NLP, Computer Vision, HCI, and Data Science.
- Formerly Director of Research at Grammarly, where he built and led applied research teams in NYC and Kyiv to develop state-of-the-art writing assistance tools.
- Worked as a Senior Research Scientist at Yahoo! Labs in NYC with Amanda Stent and Inderjeet Mani on NLP problems related to discourse and dialogue processing.
- Served as Principal Manager of the Core Natural Language group at Nuance Communications under Ron Kaplan, developing NLP components for next-generation intelligent dialogue systems.
