Edited four books on Peer-to-Peer systems, Wireless Sensor Networks, and advances in Big Data, Blockchain, and Deep Learning.
Acted as PI or Co-PI on approximately 11 funded research projects.
Received two two-year federal grants from USDA-NIFA:
- 'Detecting Subacute Ruminal Acidosis using a real-time Deep Learning Algorithm';
- 'Artificial Intelligence for Greener Livestock: Educational and Research'.
Awarded a one-year seed grant from the Illinois Innovation Network.
Supervised students who received awards:
- Abeer Almalky: 2023 Outstanding Thesis Award;
- Subash Kharel: 2021 Outstanding Thesis Award;
- PhD student Memari Majid successfully defended and graduated in Fall 2023.

Formerly Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science, College of Computer and Information Technology, King Faisal University.
Postdoctoral researcher at the University of Tokyo, Japan.
Over 19 years of experience in academia, research, and industry.
Currently serving as PI or Co-PI on three federally/state-funded research projects.
Leads the Big dAta and Software Engineering (BASE) Lab, actively recruiting motivated PhD and MSc students for various projects.
