- IEEE Fellow; Fellow of Asia-Pacific Artificial Intelligence Association (AAIA); recognized as Clarivate's Highly Cited Researcher; widely published in top-tier academic journals and conference proceedings with over 20,000 citations and an h-index of 70+; edited six books; won the IJCAI Competition (Stage 1) in 2015, which is considered the top AI Conference in the world, and was part of the first-place winning team in the KDD Cup in the same year; emerged victorious in the GE Flight Quest Challenge in 2013.

Background
- Research interests include data mining, machine learning, artificial intelligence, and bioinformatics. Currently, he is the head of the Machine Intellection department at the Institute for Infocomm Research, A*STAR, Singapore (the department consists of over 100 AI and data scientists, making it the largest AI and data science group in Singapore). He also serves as the technical director of AI for Manufacturing COE (AIMfg).
