Appointed Senior Visiting Research Fellow at Bournemouth University (BU) in 2009; became Lecturer in Informatics in 2010.
Joined King’s College London as Lecturer in Computer Science in November 2011.
Returned to Bournemouth University in September 2015 as Associate Professor in Computing, Head of SMART Technology Research Group, and member of the Data Science Initiative.
Moved to Australia in September 2017 to become Associate Professor in Network Science at the School of Software, University of Technology Sydney, and member of the Advanced Analytics Institute.
Participated in the EU FP6 Coordination Action project 'Nature-inspired Smart Information Systems' (NiSIS, 11/2005–01/2008) as a member of the Nature-inspired Data Technology focus group.
Conducted research on large-scale networks derived from datasets provided by British Telecom (BT), email servers (WUT, Enron), and multimedia platforms (Flickr).
