Co-authored a book on robust statistics with Ilias Diakonikolas, to be published by Cambridge University Press.
Research Experience
Currently a professor at UCSD with a joint appointment between CSE and Mathematics. Teaching courses include: Fall 2025 - Math 96 (Putnam Seminar) and Math 154 (Graph Theory), Winter 2026 - CSE 101 (Introduction to Algorithms), and Spring 2026 - CSE 203A (Randomized Algorithms).
Background
Research interests include mathematics and theoretical computer science. In mathematics, focuses on number theory and combinatorics; in computer science, focuses on derandomization, Boolean functions (with particular emphasis on polynomial threshold functions), and machine learning. Recent research has been in computational statistics.
