Published a paper titled 'AI to support the early diagnosis of Systemic Sclerosis (SSc)', collaborating with the Department of Rheumatology, University Hospital Zurich, on a joint work.
Research Experience
Participated in multiple research projects, including but not limited to: Clinical Data Science, Genome Data Science, Translational Bioinformatics, Speech and Cognition. Specific projects include studying how conversational coordination shapes meaning in human and machine communication, exploring multimodal and speech-based modeling for mental health, developing models that learn language directly from speech, using generative AI for protein fitness optimization, AI-assisted diagnosis in rheumatology, applying federated learning in healthcare, and generating medical reports describing radiological images through deep learning.
Miscellany
The lab regularly organizes social events to foster team cohesion, such as autumn gatherings, Christmas dinners, and ski trips.
