Serves as a Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at the University of California, Irvine, and is an IEEE Fellow. Also affiliated with the California Institute for Telecommunications and Information Technology (Calit2).
Background
Research interests include nano optics and nanophotonics, nano antennas, optical leaky wave antennas, plasmonics, spectroscopy, chirality, etc.; metamaterials, metasurfaces, reflective intelligent surfaces; sensors, microwave, infrared and optical devices; wireless systems and communications, antennas, THz and millimeter-wave antennas, on-chip antennas, scattering; electron beam devices such as TWTs and BWOs, high power microwaves; theory and applications of exceptional points of degeneracy; sensing technologies.
