  • Participated in 5 startup computer companies from 2000 to 2006 (co-founder in 3; 4 are still operating)
  • Led development of multiple video codecs and tools, including the MSU Lossless Video Codec (best in 2005–2007) and Visicron Cyclon codec (best for video conferencing streams in 2001–2004)
  • Developed the 'MSU video filters' research prototypes with over 3 million downloads
  • Created deinterlacing and frame rate conversion filters for Samsung TVs and Broadcom set-top boxes
  • Developed the MSU Video Quality Metrics Tool containing the largest collection of video quality metrics, mostly from self-tuning video filter projects
  • Developed tools for 3D video including depth reconstruction, depth propagation/editing, GPU-accelerated optical flow, and stereo-multiview generation
  • Established a 3D devices testing base
