Leading an international project called BosomShield, supported by the European Union's Marie-Sklodowska Curie Actions program until 2026. The project consists of multiple sub-projects, each led by doctoral candidates from different institutions, fostering international collaboration among researchers.
Research Experience
Led the BosomShield project, which aims to develop an advanced software platform for analyzing radiological and histopathological images to improve the detection and prevention of breast cancer. Also participated in the EU-funded GABLE project, responsible for some technical tasks related to smart data analysis.
Background
Research interests include intelligent robotics and computer vision. Leads a team focused on improving the accuracy of breast cancer classification, predicting the severity of the condition, and estimating the probability of metastasis recurrence by combining traditional imaging methods (such as mammograms and MRIs) with microscopic cell-level image analysis.
