About the job

Exciting opportunity for a Customer Facing Software Engineer and help bridge the gap between product engineering and real-world needs. Work with cutting-edge technologies like Java, Scala, and LLMs to build impactful solutions for top enterprises. Collaborate with talented teams and drive innovation in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Rapidly design and implement features and integrations based on immediate customer requirements, moving quickly from 'whiteboard sketch' to working code.

Experiment with Generative AI and agentic workflows to create novel demos and automation tools that showcase the future of the Adobe ecosystem.

Write clean, efficient, and testable Java/Scala code for high-availability systems and RESTful APIs.

Troubleshoot complex integration issues in real-time, performing root cause analysis when services don't behave as expected.

Partner with senior architects to understand the 'why' behind the build, while providing feedback to product teams on how customers are actually using our APIs and AI features.

Qualifications

Minimum

3+ years of software engineering experience with strong fundamentals in Java or Scala.

Experience building backend services using frameworks like Spring Boot.

Solid understanding of REST API concepts and how to consume/build web services.

Practical experience with SQL/NoSQL databases (you know how to write a query and design a basic schema).

Preferred

Experience playing with LangChain, Semantic Kernel, or AutoGPT concepts to build autonomous agents.

Understanding of Retrieval-Augmented Generation (vector databases, embeddings) to ground LLM responses in real data.

Familiarity with frontend frameworks (React, Angular, or Vue) to build complete end-to-end demos.

A GitHub profile showing personal projects—especially those involving AI wrappers, chatbots, or automation tools.

Experience deploying your own apps to AWS, Azure, or GCP (e.g., deploying a Python AI bot on Lambda).

Basic exposure to data streaming (Kafka) or big data tools; you aren't afraid of large datasets.
