NVIDIA Research is searching for a world-class new college grad PhD researcher to work at the intersection of AI, Quantum Computing, and GPU computing. You will expand AI efforts in quantum computation and develop improved algorithms for simulating quantum systems. Responsibilities

Training AI models for inference on quantum systems, hardware, and control.

Contribute to novel research advancing the state-of-the-art in quantum simulation, both approximate and exact.

Collaborate on the development of research prototypes, paving the way for future GPU-accelerated quantum tools.

Work on the cutting edge of advancing GPUs as research tools for the quantum sciences.

Publish and present your original research, speak at conferences and events

Collaborate with external researchers and a diverse set of internal product teams.

Qualifications

Minimum

PhD Degree in relevant discipline(s) (Physics, CS, Math) or equivalent experience

Strong programming ability: Python, C++, PyTorch, JAX, and/or CUDA

Publications on AI for quantum science and/or accelerated quantum simulations

Excellent self-motivation, a high degree of creativity, and a passion for research, collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively within a research team.

Strong written and verbal communication skills, with proven experience communicating technical work (e.g., academic presentations, poster sessions); ability to synthesize and explain complex technical concepts.
