This position manages a team of engineers. Drives their day to day activities, mentors them and executes their semi-annual reviews. Leads the advancement of generative artificial intelligence (Gen AI) technologies that will be utilized within several technologies across multiple industries such as the automotive industry with advanced driver assistance systems technology by applying their Generative AI Systems, Multimodal and Large Language Models. Advance generative artificial intelligence (Gen AI) models that can generate text, images, videos, and other data given a user’s input prompt. Design and implement advanced AI acceleration techniques for next-generation AI technologies, enhancing performance across mobile, automotive, compute, and Internet of Things (IoT) domains. Develop sophisticated inference workflows, optimization algorithms, and software automation frameworks. Leverage subject matter expertise to foster innovation of quality generative AI products and strengthen Qualcomm’s competitiveness globally. Leads engineering teams and develops AI products. This will feature roadmap, quality, source code review, architecture, and interfacing with stakeholders such as customer engineers and senior management. Anticipates and prepares for long-term opportunities or problems. Independently identifies innovative and strategic technology areas, and prepares proposals for research and/or development. Acts as a strong contributor at design reviews and project meetings and communicates and implements a development plan.

Qualifications

Minimum

Will accept a Master's Degree (or foreign academic equivalent) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related degree field and seven (7) years of experience in a related occupation. Will also accept a Bachelor's Degree (or foreign academic equivalent) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related degree field and nine (9) years of progressive experience in a related occupation. Employer will accept any suitable combination of education, training or experience.
