We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated AI Data Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in designing, building, and optimizing cloud-based data pipelines and AI data platforms that support our enterprise-scale initiatives in an IC customer space. This role demands technical expertise, strategic thinking, and hands-on experience with Oracle-based systems in high-volume environments. Responsibilities
Designing, building, and optimizing cloud-based data pipelines and AI data platforms; Managing geospatial intelligence data (vectors and rasters); Architecting and implementing Oracle Databases; AI-enabling data using Vector data type, RAG, and MCP; Working with cross-functional teams including data scientists, DBAs, and business analysts; Documenting and presenting solutions
Qualifications
Minimum
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field; Minimum 8+ years of experience in data engineering, ETL development, or database management and building enterprise-scale mission systems, preferably within the federal sector; Experience with managing geospatial intelligence data (vectors and rasters); Familiarity with Cloud platforms such as Oracle, AWS, Azure, or GCP; Strong experience with architecting and implementing Oracle Databases; Strong knowledge of ETL pipeline design (including data transformations) and implementation for large-scale data systems; Proficiency in shell scripting, Python, or other automation tools; Familiarity with data governance, metadata management, and data lineage practices; Ability to work with cross-functional teams including data scientists, DBAs, and business analysts; Strong verbal and written communication skills for documenting and presenting solutions; The ability to obtain and maintain TS/SCI eligibility with poly required
Preferred
Designing multi-modal databases that integrate multiple data types, including: Relational, Spatial, JSON, Graph; Knowledge of data security best practices and regulatory compliance; Experience with DevOps and CI/CD pipelines in a data engineering context; Creating and deploying RESTful APIs; Oracle API Gateway; Oracle certifications (e.g., Oracle Database Certified Professional or OCI Architect Professional) are a plus; Experience supporting Intelligence Community (IC)-related agencies; Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and innovative thinking skills
