About the job
We're building the AI-powered agent experience for Amazon Ads — the intelligent interface that will change how millions of advertisers manage campaigns, analyze performance, and optimize strategy on Amazon. We need a Principal PM-T to own this vision.
Responsibilities
- Own the multi-year product vision for how agentic capabilities transform the Ads experience — beyond chat into proactive surfaces, ambient intelligence, and autonomous actions. Define the key problems the Ads Agent should solve across the ecosystem. Drive OP1/OP2 planning and produce strategy documents at L10 leadership bar.
- Lead technical product decisions with hands-on depth — architecture discussions, integration contracts, latency and availability trade-offs for global-scale web systems — earning engineering credibility through substance.
- Drive product strategy for a horizontal framework adopted by dozens of Ads teams — governance, standardization decisions, competing partner priorities — while maintaining a cohesive advertiser experience.
- Own experience strategy for integrating agent experiences across multiple Amazon organizations into a unified customer journey, navigating product and technical alignment across org boundaries.
- Drive PM synergy across the Ads organization — shared context, cross-team pattern identification, and evolution of product management practices for AI-native development.
- Define the trust and autonomy framework for agents. Conduct competitive landscape analysis informing strategic bets. Partner with science on evaluation frameworks and agent quality.
- Raise the bar for the PM community through mentorship, exemplary written work, and thought leadership on how AI transforms product development.
Qualifications
Minimum
Deeply analytical; produce crisp written work at the highest bar; influence effectively at VP/SVP level; synthesize complex cross-organizational inputs into clear strategic direction; drive OP1/OP2 planning; conduct competitive landscape analysis; maintain a point of view on the industry that leadership relies on.
Preferred
You bring technical depth that makes your product decisions better — you can lead architecture discussions, assess feasibility independently, and define integration contracts that engineering teams trust. You understand how large-scale web systems work and use that understanding to make product trade-offs that hold up at advertiser scale. You will need deep product instincts grounded in how advertisers actually work — campaigns, budgets, targeting, audiences, and performance measurement. You should either bring advertising domain knowledge or demonstrate a track record of ramping quickly in complex businesses. A successful candidate will be deeply analytical, produce crisp written work at the highest bar, influence effectively at VP/SVP level, and synthesize complex cross-organizational inputs into clear strategic direction. You will drive OP1/OP2 planning, conduct competitive landscape analysis, and maintain a point of view on the industry that your leadership relies on.
