About the job
We are seeking a Senior Product Architect with deep expertise in SONiC and data-center networking to define scalable, open networking platforms for cloud and AI data centers. This role owns the end-to-end network OS and fabric strategy spanning switch software architecture, control/management planes, silicon abstraction, and automation translating customer and workload requirements into clear product definitions, validation criteria, and multi-generation roadmaps.
Responsibilities
Define architecture for next-generation AI interconnect technologies, including: External Pluggable Optics (XPO) Co-Packaged Optics (CPO) High-power pluggable optics (OSFP / QSFP-DD and future form factors) Rack-scale optical I/O platforms Own SerDes and PHY strategy for 112G / 224G PAM4 and beyond, including: Link training and margining strategy FEC latency / performance trade-offs Re-timer / DSP / gearbox placement decisions Electrical vs optical architecture trade-offs Drive signal-integrity and system design across: Package escape and PCB channel design Connector and cable ecosystems (DAC / AEC / optical engines) Optical reach vs power vs density optimization Architect rack-level AI fabrics supporting thousands of accelerators with deterministic latency and high reliability. Partner with ecosystem leaders in silicon photonics, fiber connectivity, switch ASICs, and module design to influence multi-generation roadmaps. Lead hardware validation and root-cause analysis across optics, SerDes, ASIC, power, and thermal domains.
Qualifications
Minimum
10 + years in high-speed interconnect, optical systems, switch/NIC hardware, or AI infrastructure platforms Strong expertise in one or more areas: Optical module architecture or silicon photonics High-speed PAM4 SerDes (112G / 224G+) Signal integrity and channel modeling Data-center hardware platform design Rack-scale system architecture Experience influencing technology strategy with ASIC / optics / cable vendors
