The AWS Data Center Design Engineering - BIM & AI Technologies team is seeking a Principal Technical Program Manager to drive the end-to-end delivery of AI-powered design automation programs for AWS's global data center infrastructure. In this role, you will own complex, cross-functional programs that bring generative AI capabilities to architects, engineers, construction managers, and facility operators, transforming how data center design documentation is created, validated, and delivered at scale.

Responsibilities

Own and deliver ambiguous, very large, and complex programs that span multiple organizations and technology domains

Identify risks and opportunities in technical strategies, system architectures, and engineering organizational structures

Influence and advise VP-level leadership across data center engineering organization on technical investment decisions, organizational alignment, and long-term platform strategy

Establish metrics, dashboards, and regular reporting mechanisms to provide stakeholders and senior leadership clear insight into program health, delivery timelines, and business impact

Force-multiply across the TPM community - establish frameworks, mechanisms, and best practices that elevate the effectiveness of multiple teams and programs simultaneously

Drive clarity in highly ambiguous environments where the business strategy, architectural approach, and even the problem definition may not yet exist

Qualifications

Minimum

10+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience

10+ years of technical product or program management experience

5+ years of software development experience

Experience designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems

Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules

Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition

Preferred

10+ years of hands-on work managing complex technology projects experience

Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules

Experience with AI/ML technologies and their practical applications in domain-specific products

Experience working with the Architecture, Engineering, Construction (AEC) industry or related domains, including BIM, CAD, 3D geometry, or construction documentation workflows
