About the job
As an Applied Scientist, you will apply state of the art natural language processing and computer vision research to video centric digital media. We are looking for scientists with expertise in vision-language models/multimodal LLMs and long-form content understanding (full movies/episode vs. short clips). You will be dealing with architectures that handle long-context understanding and causal reasoning across extended temporal sequences.
Responsibilities
Build multi-modal machine learning technologies to enrich and understand video content; Understand individual components within the content itself and their relationships to each other to provide a holistic and broader contextual understanding; Power the next generation of video understanding and search capabilities for Prime Video
Qualifications
Minimum
3+ years of building models for business application experience; PhD, or Master's degree and 4+ years of CS, CE, ML or related field experience; Experience programming in Java, C++, Python or related language; Experience developing and implementing deep learning algorithms, particularly with respect to computer vision algorithms
Preferred
Experience using Unix/Linux; Experience in professional software development; Have publications at top-tier peer-reviewed conferences or journals
