Our work spans deep learning, large-scale distributed systems, and evaluation science workflows. We work closely with applied scientists, product managers, and UX designers to deliver services that are robust, extensible, and easy to use for developers and enterprise customers alike.

Responsibilities

Hire, motivate, mentor, and grow a high-performing engineering team, providing them with appropriate opportunities to succeed in their career objectives.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams: Work effectively with product managers and software engineers on other partner teams to ensure the successful delivery of features.

Ensure timely execution of key organizational automation goals and customer launches by removing blockers and reducing execution risks.

Work closely with the leadership team to provide input on OP1, roadmaps, and strategic discussions.

Be deeply involved with engineers to architect and develop the best technical designs and approaches.

Build operational excellence to reduce lead times and maintain the operations of critical services.

Clearly communicate technical decisions and progress to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Qualifications

Minimum

3+ years of engineering team management experience

7+ years of engineering experience

8+ years of leading the definition and development of multi tier web services experience

Preferred

Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations

Experience partnering with product or program management teams
