Responsibilities

define the systems and policies for how brands merchandise their products on Amazon while ensuring the best possible shopping experience for customers; enable Amazon to deliver innovative ways for customers to find related products, including newer versions, branded collections, and product lines; partner with engineering and product teams to build new catalog APIs, define data models, develop quality metrics, and drive data acquisition and quality improvement initiatives leveraging generative AI; navigate complex technical and business trade-offs; influence without authority across multiple organizations; balance tactical execution with strategic thinking

Qualifications

Minimum

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field; 7+ years of experience leading technical programs in large-scale, distributed systems environments; Experience driving cross-functional, cross-organizational initiatives with engineering, product, and business stakeholders; Proven ability to navigate ambiguity, influence without authority, and balance strategic thinking with tactical execution

Preferred

Master's or PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field; Experience working with product catalogs, e-commerce platforms, or large-scale data systems; Experience with generative AI applications in data quality, acquisition, or enrichment; Experience defining and measuring data quality metrics at scale
