This study addresses the lack of comparability and integration in existing research on educational short videos, which stems from overly generalized labeling that leads to inconsistencies in functions, activities, contexts, and evaluation criteria. To systematically map the field’s developmental trajectory and thematic structure, the authors combine bibliometric analysis, non-negative matrix factorization (NMF) topic modeling, and structured content analysis. Innovatively redefining “short videos” by educational purpose rather than duration alone, the study identifies 16 top-level themes and their evolutionary relationships. Among these, Skill Development emerges as the core theme, while Video-Based Health Interventions and related areas represent high-impact directions. The analysis further reveals that learning outcomes primarily cluster around two dimensions: knowledge/achievement and engagement/motivation.
Amid rapidly growing data volumes, this study systematically compares the Kimball and Inmon data warehouse architectures across four dimensions: information quality, system quality, individual impact, and organizational impact. By integrating classical theoretical foundations with real-world enterprise case studies within a structured comparative framework, the research presents the first multidimensional, systematic evaluation of these two canonical approaches. The findings reveal that the Kimball architecture excels in user orientation and implementation agility, whereas the Inmon model demonstrates superior performance in ensuring data consistency and supporting long-term data governance. These insights offer both theoretical grounding and practical guidance for organizations selecting an appropriate data warehouse strategy.
This study addresses the optimization of general-purpose lossless compression under realistic resource constraints—specifically, memory usage capped at 8 GB and decompressor size limited to 1 MB—by organizing an international challenge based on a public training set and a hidden test set comprising 16 heterogeneous files. Performance is evaluated multidimensionally using compression ratio, compression/decompression time, Weissman score, and Pareto front analysis. The generalization capability of submissions is further assessed on external large-scale datasets, while Normalized Compression Distance (NCD) is employed to analyze inter-solution relationships. Among 117 valid submissions, several outperformed mainstream tools on external data, underscoring the critical role of advanced probabilistic modeling and effective multi-objective trade-offs in enhancing compression performance.
